I lost 30 pounds and my wedding rings slide off whenever i wash my hands. I want to get them resized, but I don’t want to be without them for a few days or however long that takes. Anyone know a faster solution? I have tried scotch tape but it gets all nasty after a couple of days.

the contract is $6100 and I had to buy the wooden rings and rods myself, the timeline is 6 wks. After 6 wks, they came to install but they couldn’ t get it done because most of the blind they got were wrong measurement; they also cut the rods too short that I ended up replace some of the rods. Also, she sent email she said she will come and I took days off from work and she didn’t show up. 4 months later, she sent another lady come over, this lady told me, b/c the other lady is new in business therefore she had all the measurement wrong, she will fix them for me, and at that time, I wanted to add the sheer, therefore she said she will charge me $2500 for everything, and I can deduct from the original contract with the other lady for replacing the wooden rods beaucase she cut it short. I have a carmel wall living room with “paprika” colored couches. The trim in the room is white (we’re not painting it, even though we should) and the blinds are a dark wood (almost purple). I’m having trouble with the curtain design. We bought the drapery hardware before the curtains were picked out - nice wooden rods. The rod is too big for typical “pocket” valences or sheers. And with pinch pleat drapes, I don’t like how the hook shows when you clip on the ring. And colors … I found some curtains that matched the color of the couches, but it was too much of that one color. I’ve tried paisley sheers that had both the carmel and the paprika and even the purple to blend with the blinds, but the pocket was too small. I’m getting frustrated!

What do you think of our wedding rings? I think they’re awesome. Unfortunately, I can’t wear them once I start working (I’m in Nursing school currently, but I”ll be working in a year). The moisture from hand-washing and gloves could destroy these rings over time. But wooden rings are so amazing and beautiful and unique.

I Need to know where I can buy silver rings (smooth) so I can wear it to work, while these rings are for all other times. I can’t find one online in a size 5.5 (I find whole sizes, but not half sizes in that small).
It doesn’t mess up so easily, it’s pretty strong, it just can’t handle too much water or beating. It can take some water, like drops of rain and stuff. It also could take light hitting against things. It’s not like I do construction work in my spare time. These rings are our ‘official’ engagement rings, and the silver is just for something smooth and waterproof.

Sure they are more sensitive than metal, but they are still hardy.

I’m sort of a green environmental, socially-friendly kind of person. This makes the best ring for me. I got the silver base so it is stronger and the way the ring was made was to secure it better.

Lots of people use wooden rings for wedding rings, they are my absolute favorite to look at!

Many health care professionals don’t even wear their rings, especially if there are stones in the wedding ring. I just want something to keep there. I have a couple of married friends in my class who don’t wear either of their rings to clinicals.
