October 11, 2006

I have personally photographed different varities of petrified wood and ALL are without growth rings. WHY?

Ben Yeshua (son of our Savior) asked:

Does this support “FLOOD GEOLOGY?”
Flood Geology includes a falling sky, that allows for seasons. In a green house, plants do not form growth rings.
The specimens were cross sectional cut with a smoothly polished surface.

  2. You often need a pretty clean cross section to see the rings. Sawing across a sample will almost certainly allow you to see rings.

In what way would that evidence support “flood geology”? We know this is essentially a fancy term for creationism…but what is your assertion??? That before Noah’s flood trees didn’t have annual growth? That trees at that time were like fake movie set trees created at full size by God and destined to not grow any further??? That’s a stretch in even the most diehard creationsist’s ‘book’. Pun intended.

  3. Uh, going by the above guy’s comment, nothing supports flood geology. More likely you’re taking pictures of ordinary rocks. Either that or you need a new camera.
