If my shallow subwoofer touches the bottom of my custom enclosure, will it create bass properly?
Ryan T asked:
I have an MB Quart RSH252 shallow sub that was going to go in my custom stealth enclosure in my Scion tC under the trunkbed. The sub is too big and touches the bottom of the fiberglass enclosure, and the only way to mount it would be to put a wooden ring under it to raise up the mounting area. If I raise the mount with a wooden ring, will the fact that it still touches the bottom of the enclosure affect performance and how it performs?

If the sub has a vented pole piece, you don’t want to block the vent (in the middle of the back plate). It allows heat to escape to improve power handling.
