Single women that wear wedding rings at work?

I am 31 and happily single. I am currently in the process of looking for a new job. At my last job because of my single status I was hit on by most of my male counterparts. I am considering purchasing a wedding ring to wear at work to keep my social and professional lives separate. What do you think of this?

  1. If that’s how you feel, then why would you ask us? It’s your personal choice. If you want to swear off all men at work, then a wedding ring would do the trick.

  2. My girlfriend told me (before we got together) that she used to wear a ring on that finger and lead random guys to think she was engaged because she was “sick of jerks who won’t take no for an answer” and now she wears a ring I got her on that finger as well. (After asking if I minded, which I didn’t.)
She said it worked for the most part.

  3. I wouldn’t. It opens up a whole can of worms that should stay closed. Just mention in conversations that asks that you do not date someone from work. Most everyone understands that policy and the word will get around.

  4. Funny, I wear two wedding bands ever since my wife died of cancer.

I have two kids a great job, great home, all the toys so I wear the rings to give me double protection from some easy wore out bimbo’s looking to settle down with a bonafide billpayer.

I don’t know if the rings work but when I lay out why I do, it sure runs them off.
